The Role
You will take leadership of a portfolio of growth-minded clients and be their CFO. You will help them define success, create the path there, and coach them along the way. Drawing upon your extensive background in accounting & finance you’ll help provide valuable insights into their business’s performance and how to impact their bottom and topline growth. You will be a key part of the company's leadership team, helping them drive towards their goals.
Responsibilities
- Build authentic relationships with clients, anchored on respect and trust.
- Guide clients in developing business and personal goals, and then create the financial road map to achieve those goals.
- Coach and encourage executives and owners as they move from where they are now to their desired goal.
- Prepare financial reports, analysis and forecasts, presenting and discussing them with clients as they pertain to the clients aspirations and goals.
- Utilize your expertise to make suggestions and help management make decisions now that will benefit their company (securing that LOC, move accounting internally, deploy a new ERP, etc).
- Staying out of the detailed weeds of accounting, and pushing the needle on large strategic and impactful decisions
- Being assertive, having hard conversations with clients and challenging assumptions
Qualifications

- 10+ years in dynamic, high-growth business environments, holding roles such as Accounting Manager, Controller, CFO, or Fractional CFO.
- Thrives in entrepreneurial settings with a high tolerance for uncertainty and risk.
- Strong solution-oriented mindset, adept at tackling complex challenges.
- Exceptional at establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficient in preparing and presenting financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and Business Tax Returns.
- Expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and connecting business operations to financial performance.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with cloud-based accounting tools (QuickBooks Online, Sage Intaact, Bill.com, Expensify) and ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
- Comfortable & confident delivering financial presentations and insights to various audiences.

Pay & Benefits
We highly value transparency and believe it is a two-way street. We are looking to pay someone between $140,000 - $170,000. On-Target earnings aimed for $200,000 - $220,000. Where you fall in the range will depend on your prior experience and successes. There is enormous room for growth and opportunities for leadership.
